- Uses: Bacterial eye infections accompanied by inflammation, such as bacterial conjunctivitis and blepharoconjunctivitis.
- How it works: Tobramycin kills susceptible bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis, while dexamethasone reduces eye inflammation, redness and swelling.
- Precautions: Use only as prescribed by an eye specialist. Avoid use in untreated viral or fungal eye infections. Prolonged steroid use can increase eye pressure, delay healing or cause cataracts. Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye.
