Uses: Treats moderate-to-severe symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH/enlarged prostate). It improves urine flow, reduces prostate size, and lowers the risk of acute urinary retention and prostate-related surgery.
How it works: Dutasteride lowers DHT and gradually shrinks the prostate; tamsulosin relaxes the prostate and bladder-neck muscles, making urination easier.
How to use: Usually 1 capsule once daily, about 30 minutes after the same meal each day. Swallow whole; do not chew or open.
Precautions: For men only. May cause dizziness or low blood pressure, especially when starting treatment. Dutasteride can affect PSA levels; inform your doctor before PSA testing.
Adverse effects: Dizziness, reduced libido, erectile/ejaculatory problems, breast tenderness/enlargement, and low blood pressure.
