Generic/Type: Folic acid 400mcg (Vitamin B9) — vitamin supplement.

Uses: Helps prevent folate deficiency and supports red blood cell formation. Commonly recommended before conception and during early pregnancy to reduce the risk of neural tube defects in the developing baby.

How it works: Supports DNA synthesis, cell division and the formation of healthy red blood cells.

Precautions: Use as directed. Inform your doctor if you have vitamin B12 deficiency, as folic acid may mask some signs while nerve damage progresses.
