- Generic: Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg.
- Drug class: Second-generation antihistamine / anti-allergic.
- Uses: Relief of sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, itching, allergic rhinitis and hives (urticaria).
- How it works: Blocks histamine (H1 receptors), reducing allergic symptoms.
- Instructions: Usually 1 tablet once daily, with or without food, or as directed by a doctor.
- Precautions: May cause drowsiness in some people. Avoid alcohol or other sedating medicines if they increase sleepiness. Use caution in kidney disease.
- Side effects: Drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, fatigue, dizziness and mild stomach upset may occur.
