How it works: Empagliflozin helps the kidneys remove excess glucose through urine, while metformin reduces glucose production by the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.
Dose: Usually 1 tablet once or twice daily with meals, as prescribed by the doctor.
Common side effects: Nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset, increased urination, genital/urinary infections, and dehydration.
