What is Arynoin 20mg?

Arynoin is a soft gelatin capsule containing Isotretinoin, a systemic retinoid prescribed for severe forms of acne — including nodular acne, conglobate acne, and acne at risk of permanent scarring — that hasn't responded to standard antibiotic or topical treatments. It works by suppressing sebaceous gland activity and reducing gland size, alongside a dermal anti-inflammatory effect.

Arynoin is a prescription-only medicine and must be used strictly under dermatologist supervision. It is not suitable for self-medication.

How Does Arynoin Work?

Isotretinoin is a stereoisomer of all-trans retinoic acid. While its full mechanism isn't completely understood, clinical evidence shows the improvement seen in severe acne is linked to suppression of sebaceous gland activity and a measurable reduction in gland size, combined with an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

Who Is Arynoin For?

  • Patients with severe nodular or conglobate acne
  • Acne that hasn't responded to systemic antibiotics or topical therapy
  • Cases at risk of permanent scarring without intervention
  • Only under the direct care of a dermatologist experienced in retinoid therapy

Dosage & Administration

(For reference only — dosing must be determined and adjusted by your prescribing dermatologist)

  • Treatment typically starts at 0.5 mg/kg/day, with most patients maintained at 0.5–1.0 mg/kg/day
  • Severe cases may require up to 2.0 mg/kg/day
  • Capsules are taken with food, once or twice daily
  • A typical course runs 16–24 weeks, with a cumulative target dose of 120–150 mg/kg
  • Remission is common after one full course; relapse may require a repeat course as advised by your dermatologist
  • Patients with renal impairment usually start at a lower dose under closer supervision

Pregnancy Warning — Read Before Starting

Isotretinoin is teratogenic and pregnancy must be strictly avoided during treatment. Female patients of childbearing potential must:

  • Use effective contraception for 1 month before, during, and after treatment

  • Begin therapy on the 2nd or 3rd day of their menstrual cycle

Monitoring Required

  • Regular liver function tests throughout treatment
