Citanew tablets contain Escitalopram 5mg in it which is an antidepressant

• It belongs to “SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors)” class.
• It should be orally administered i.e. by mouth
• It is indicated in treatment & maintenance of depression.
• It is also indicated in treatment of severe anxiety, panic disorders, social phobia, & OCD (obsessive compulsive disorders; uncontrollable thoughts & repetitive behavior)
• It is a prescription medication. Should be used only if needed
• It can be consumed with or without food
• Its use in pregnant females and lactating mothers should be done after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
