  • How it works: Increases the sensitivity of calcium-sensing receptors in the parathyroid glands, reducing parathyroid hormone (PTH) production and helping lower blood calcium levels.
  • Precautions: Monitor calcium levels regularly. Use carefully in patients with low calcium levels or significant liver problems. Take as directed, usually with food.
