This product contains Ceftriaxone sodium which belongs to Cephalosporin class of antibiotics. Its 1 vial contains 1gm ceftriaxone which is in the injectable form. It is administered through intravenous route (IV, administered into the veins). Indicated for wide variety of bacterial infections like pneumonia, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), & in relieving respiratory symptoms of shortness of breath & coughing. Also used in prevention of female reproductive organ infections. It is not useful in viral infections like common cold. Max dose per day is 4 gm in adults. Course of this antibiotic differs for different infection management. Prescription medication so should be used on as-needed basis.
